Today is World Ocean Day and the Action Focus for this year’s event is, “Preventing plastic pollution and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean”. Plastic in our oceans is poisoning our food chain, and affecting the health of everything that relies on water for survival. Disposable plastics are the main source of pollution. These items are used briefly but their remains last forever as plastic is a material that Earth cannot digest.

One of the easiest ways toward cleaner oceans is to refuse disposable plastics, and carry your own cup.
