Happy Fall Ya’ll!
Tomorrow marks the Fall Equinox and the ushering in of all the things that make saying goodbye to summer, a little easier. Soon we’ll be swapping our swim gear for flannels and our fins for hiking boots. As the days get shorter and the temperature drops, we’ll also say “see ya later” to frosty beverages and “hello” to our favorite way to welcome Autumn. Fall Mulled Cider (Slow Cooker)
Ingredients:
1 gallon unfiltered apple juice
1 orange
1 piece of ginger (1 in)
6 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves
5 star anise pods
Optional: Rum or bourbon
Directions
Pour juice into slow cooker.
Slice orange and peeled ginger, put into slow cooker.
Add all spices: cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and star anise pods.
Cook on low for about 4.5 hours, or until your desired flavor.
Optional: Add rum or bourbon
